What an exact match means
Apple says you can upload one to 10 screenshots in .jpeg, .jpg, or .png format. Images can’t include alpha channels or transparencies. This tool compares pixel dimensions with the specification checked on 2026-10-05. It does not resize an image, remove transparency, or know whether App Store Connect will accept the file.
- For a 4-inch iPhone, 640 × 1096 is portrait without the status bar. The landscape size without the status bar is 1136 × 600, not 1096 × 640.
- The 3.5-inch iPhone and the 9.7-inch iPad have the same kind of status-bar exception. 2048 × 1496 is the 9.7-inch landscape size without the status bar.
- Mac sizes on the page are 1280 × 800, 1440 × 900, 2560 × 1600, and 2880 × 1800. 800 × 1280 is not listed.
- 2048 × 2732 is listed for both the 13-inch and 12.9-inch iPad displays. 3840 × 2160 is listed for both Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro.
- iPhone Duo sizes are listed, with Apple’s note that upload support comes later. A match does not mean that asset can be uploaded today.
- Apple does not put a “required” line on the 6.9-inch iPhone display itself. The 6.5-inch display is required if the app runs on iPhone and 6.9-inch screenshots are not provided.
