Review Information, not the product page

IAP App Review Screenshot checker

Check the pixel size of an in-app purchase or subscription App Review Screenshot. Apple’s written rule and dated App Store Connect reports are not the same thing.

Check an App Review Screenshot

Drop up to 10 JPEG or PNG screenshots. Nothing is uploaded.

The result stays on this device.

What this field is

Apple says the App Review Screenshot is used for review purposes only and isn’t displayed on the App Store. Upload a screenshot that meets any of the screenshot specifications your app supports. Source: In-app purchase information, checked 2026-10-05.

The promotional Image is a different field: a 1024 × 1024 flattened JPEG or PNG, RGB, 72 dpi, without rounded corners. It is not the App Review Screenshot. A 1024 × 1024 file is that Image, not this screenshot.

What a result means

Apple’s IAP help points at the same screenshot specification used for product-page screenshots. App Store Connect’s IAP upload field has still been reported to reject some of those listed sizes.

Apple says you can upload one to 10 screenshots in .jpeg, .jpg, or .png format. Images can’t include alpha channels or transparencies. Some developers also reported that a screenshot taken in Safari uploaded when another source of the same pixels did not. This tool does not inspect the capture app, DPI metadata, or color profile, and it does not submit the file.

Use the product-page screenshot checker for App Store screenshots 1–10. The size table is on the screenshot sizes page.
